DESCRIPTION: I am looking for a location manager for my TV series, CROSSGENE. This will be shown on Pasadena Community Network (KPCN), student film fests, film festivals, online, and possibly other outlets.

The production is about four teenagers that are taken by the government and are fighting back. If you would like more information on the series, please check out the facebook page.

Throughout the series, there are many locations. Ranging from undergound facilities to two story homes and corporate offices.

The shooting schedule is still in development. Though the project is non-paid, you can use this as an oppotunity to network. We are working with other companies that are in constant need of locations.

The location manager would find potential locations, give all information regarding the locations to the producer/director, and if approved, then secure the locations for production. Work hours would range depending on the time is takes to find and secure the locations.

DESCRIPTION:
Major Duties
Under direct supervision of the Technical Director, assists the Plaza del Sol Performance Hall and Valley Arts Center (VPAC) technical staff with event/performances on an "on-call" basis. Works to maintain and improve the integrity, condition, and value of the Performance Hall and VPAC as world-class performing arts and cultural centers for the campus and larger community. Mounts various events by professional artists presented by ArtsNorthridge, or amateur organizations, which license (rent) the Performance Hall or VPAC. Responds to work calls made regarding ArtsNorthridge and Licensee (renter) contract requirements; supports technical, stage, and backstage needs from personnel; operates the audio, lighting, and rigging systems as needed; and provides set-up and strike/tear-down for a wide variety of performances and events (including music concerts, recitals, dance/theatre productions, film screenings, meetings, and classes). Interacts with artists and their technical/production staff, licensee clients, and staff, and university event staff in the execution of events; maintains a safe working environment for staff and customers; performs maintenance on stage equipment and theatre systems as required; and works in wardrobe and costuming, makeup as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Equivalent to two years of full-time experience working for a theater, repertory, or stock company including costume construction, stage and set construction, lighting, sound, and production or related work. Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of theatre etiquette, standards, and protocol. Knowledge of all aspects of technical theatre and operating theatre technical systems (including audio, lighting, rigging, set construction, scene painting, and prop making). General knowledge of methods and techniques related to theatre facilities; principles and techniques of design and production; and safety requirements and standards related to stage and set construction, lighting, and stage operations. Ability and specialized skills to: demonstrate excellent customer service and public relations skills; work under pressure and within set timeframes; work independently as well as an effective team member in the execution of events and other assigned tasks; read blueprints, identify problems, be outgoing and enjoy working with people; make minor equipment repairs; maintain records; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; and assist in training and supervising student production crews.

DESCRIPTION: The Video Engineer is a highly technical individual that specializes in pro video engineering, signal distribution, imaging technologies, and workflow architecture.
The Video Engineer will help define and improve Apple’s technical infrastructure for motion picture acquisition, editing, and output. They will work with the creative and producer teams to define requirements. They will help select and test all video hardware and software, calibrate display systems to ensure consistency throughout the facility, recommend new workflows, and assist in the planning, specification and build-out of Apple’s video suites and sound-stages.

Operational responsibilities will include the daily supervision of the Video Control Center, where signals from any camera on any sound-stage can be routed to any playback room or authorized edit suite in the facility. This includes the routing of signal to the video ingest operator for immediate acquisition and storage, so that editors may begin working while video is still being shot.
The Video Engineer is also responsible for managing Apple’s growing library of video assets, metadata tagging footage, and creating a searchable archive from which assets and projects can be quickly and easily restored as needed.
They will collaborate with the creative team and external production vendors to understand their needs, and make recommendations on both production and post- production tools when asked.

The Video Engineer is the integration point for working with external production crews at Apple’s facility— they will help translate the team’s creative vision into technical requirements and work with them to ensure delivery of files that meet Apple’s specifications.
• Maintain all Marcom video facilities and equipment.
• Collaborate with the Producers and Creatives to define standards-of-excellence against which work can be measured and consistently output.
• Refine and implement world-class video production and video post workflows.
• Define and manage all infrastructure build-outs related to video (new stages, mixing rooms, recording booths, etc.).
• Administer and maintain the Video Control Center for signal routing, distribution, and acquisition.
• Identify and work with external crews when needed.
• Track the progress of all video work through the pipeline.
• Support the video-related technical needs of the organization.

Minimum or Most Typical Requirements
The position requires proficiency in the fundamental technologies used in modern broadcast operations, film/commercial post-production, video post workflows, and engineering as it relates to video signal distribution, degradation, and encoding. A BA in filmmaking or a BS in video related broadcast technology is required along with a minimum of 7 years related experience in professional video production and post-production for fine arts, broadcasting, film or music.

The ideal candidate is a well rounded, deeply technical video engineer with real-world production, editing, effects, and grading experience in the commercial film or television industry.
